How many people have a favorite bag you use while travelling? I have been travelling for years with a leather blue Kenneth Cole bag that has served its purpose of carrying my personal items. The bag is a beautiful shade of blue and has seen better days. The most damage it endured was in 2017 while in Sharm el Sheikh when my husband and I were riding camels up Mount Sinai. My camel Sampson who is featured on the home page of my website (https://ketourtravel.com) for Ketour Travel is a gentle soul who was the perfect riding companion. My husband’s camel on the other hand is a bit unruly when it came to following behind another camel. While riding up Mount Sinai my husband’s camel decided to grab my purse and began pulling me back as my camel was walking forward. I was in a precarious situation, however, the handler managed to free me from the jaws of this deranged animal.

All was well, and we continued our journey to the top of Mount Sinai. I must say my little blue bag sustained some damage and I still have teeth marks in my bag today. The camel also ended up biting into my Coach wallet and slightly damaged my driver’s license and a photo of my husband and me. I continue to use the bag today, because it is still a beautiful bag, but the bag has a wild story attached to it as well.

Since I love to travel and do so often, I decided to purchase another bag to replace my old blue bag I love so much. I tried to find that exact replica of the blue Kenneth Cole bag, but was unsuccessful in doing so. I did run across a company named ilundi in South Africa who has beautiful leather bags and other products at reasonable prices. You may visit ilundi to view and purchase all the handmade (literally) timeless and classic products.  I purchased two of the signature sling bags for my daughter and I, one in cobalt blue and one in sienna. The bags are hand crafted using locally sourced vegetable tanned cow hide with antique brass hardware, buckle closure, and an embossed logo. Even though ilundi is in South Africa they ship around the world.

Please share any photos of your favorite travel bag and if you have any amazing stories about your bag. When you visit the site, please provide your comments on the craftsmanship and the look of the items just drop me a comment below my blog under leave a reply.
